Abandoned City - Matte Painting Projection Mapping

This is my final digital matte painting assignment, where we did a projection mapping of our environment art.

Story synopsis:
Long ago there used to be a prosperous city, that used the earth's resources to its full extent,
using advanced technology to excavate them. But as time passes, the civillisation has gone extinct
from natural causes, leaving the city now barren. The air close to the ground has also become too dense
and toxic for any living thing to live in.
But in the ruins, a new species from another world has come to earth 70 years later,
seeking to conquer & make use of the resources from any planets they find.
These new beings also have the ability to shift & transform land into whatever they want, and so they've
moved part of the ground into the air, turning it a floating island safe from the toxic air below.
Now they live off the resources & land from what was left behind, rebuilding the civilisation in a new way.
